Bruna Longhetto - Paintings

I was born in Busca, a small country town near Turin, on October 19, 1943, to Maria Bonda and Egidio Longhetto. I am the second of three brothers and mother of Massimiliano. My father was a true artist. Painter, restorer and great art lover. I inherited his passion. From my mother I learned to be a mother. I studied accounting to work, but I'd rather have preferred to go to art school and university. Necessity prevailed and I was a full time accountant, employee and mother for forty years. Then I took back part of my life and recovered my interests. I graduated in pedagogy, continuing to work and I started to paint. My painting teacher was a great master of art, Sergio Albano. Extraordinary artist and man of profound sensitivity and culture. I owe to Maestro Albano the technique and the freedom of expression, without which emotions remain closed in their useless boxes. Unfortunately, the Master has gone to portray landscapes elsewhere beyond the rainbow and we will join him only when the time comes. Today my mentor is the painter Marco Piva, who directs the art academy of "Via Perrone". I am very shy, I would never write these words. My son did it, because he loves me, but he also genuinely appreciates my works. I'm personally going back to a path I left aside many years ago and I wish you too the joy of expressing yourself with colors and transferring your emotions as I do today on the canvas.
